Coordinating with our colleagues at Facebook Music, we were able to work out some issues on behalf of legendary house music DJ, producer, and label owner, Tony Humphries, who contracted Digital Strategy Works to merge his multiple Facebook Groups and Musician/Band profiles down into one official profile. Over the years, other well intended fans had launched Facebook pages for Humphries, which split his audience between multiple profiles, causing confusion in the marketplace and preventing Tony from effectively communicating through Facebook with his fans. Now that his official profile has been secured, we’ve seen engagement increase daily.
We also worked to submit an official Wikipedia entry on Tony’s behalf, take ownership of and launch an official MixCloud page, and we launched his first, consistent online web presence: TonyHumpries.com. Using Organic Theme’s Music Theme, we made some modifications, as well as enhanced search engine optimization for Tony’s new WordPress-powered site with All In One SEO Pro, the most downloaded SEO plugin for WordPress. Our efforts resulted in a page 1 Google placement, two weeks after registering the the domain and site map, despite Tony’s own web presence missing from search for many years prior.
