WCSU RECEIVES ACCREDITATION RENEWAL FROM NEASC
Western Connecticut State University has received notification from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) that the association’s Commission on Institutions of Higher Education has approved the renewal of Western’s accreditation certifying that the university remains in compliance with NEASC’s rigorous standards. M.F.A. IN CREATIVE AND PROFESSIONAL WRITING LAUNCHES BOOK AWARDS
In March, the Western Connecticut State University Master of Fine Arts in Creative and Professional Writing program launched the first Housatonic Book Awards in cooperation with the M.F.A. Alumni Writers' Cooperative (AWC). The awards will honor one recipient each in the areas of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, writing for middle grades and young adults, and professional writing.
